Accreditation Process
The operator will work in cooperation with G4 in (further) developing the Responsible Gambling / Safer Gambling strategy and the implementation of the latest G4 Code of Practice.
Step 1 - Familiarize
The accreditation process is a straightforward process consisting of five main steps. The first step is to carefully read the G4 standards and estimate the feasibility of the accreditation. If you do not fulfil all the G4 Code of practice elements, you will have enough time and support to fulfil the rest of the requirements.
Step 2 - Sign
The next step would be to schedule a call with our representative so that we can evaluate the feasibility of the accreditation and agree on a general timeline. It is advised that the base audit date is set after six months. However, this is non-binding advice. If a sooner date is more suitable for you and the auditor believes it is a realistic goal, then the base audit date can be set according to an agreement with the board. If you believe you need more than six months to implement and cover all the G4 responsible gambling standards, setting a flexible date based on the current responsible gambling state is possible. Once the timeline is agreed upon, you will receive a detailed agreement that will require your signature, as well as the audit checklist that will be used during the audit.
Step 3 - Prove
After signing the contract, the evidence collection process begins. During the evidence collection period, you will have to provide evidence that you fulfil the items of the checklist corresponding to the G4 Code of practice. All evidence must be collected and submitted two weeks before the audit.
Step 4 - Audit
Once the evidence is submitted, it is time to conduct the base audit. The auditor will send you a detailed audit schedule based on the evidence submitted and tailored to your company's activities.
Step 5 - Accreditation
The auditor will then submit the findings to the board of G4, where the board will check the evidence and the auditor's findings and recommendations. The board will then make a decision based on all the variables.
Once a decision is reached, you will be informed of the results, and a detailed report will be submitted, including the auditor's findings and recommendations.
Congratulations, you are now G4 Certified.
Audit Cycle
The operator will work in cooperation with G4 in (further) developing the Responsible Gambling / Safer Gambling strategy and the implementation of the latest G4 Code of Practice.
Responsible gambling is an evolving field that requires constant improvement in line with the latest scientific research and regulations. G4 has developed the PDCA audit cycle based on the principle of continuous improvement, the PDCA cycle stands for Plan, Do, Check, Act. Once the base audit has taken place, the auditor will submit detailed requirements and recommendations of steps that can be taken in order to minimize problem gambling and strengthen responsible gambling standards.
A follow-up audit will be scheduled for eighteen months from the base audit. During the follow-up audit, the auditor will focus on the areas that need improvement. The follow-up audit is less extensive and focuses on the areas that required improvement during the base audit.
After three years from the base audit, it is time for renewal based on the latest G4 Code of practice.
